The Russian Association for the Promotion of Arbitration (“RAA”) and the Japan Association of Arbitrators (“JAA”), which executed a friendship agreement in 2014, are pleased to announce that they will hold a joint seminar that will discuss current issues facing dispute resolution in Russia including commercial arbitration involving Russia and Japan, with cooperation from the bar associations of both countries.
In this seminar, the former Russian Deputy Minister of Justice, Ms. Elena Borisenko, will make a keynote speech, and in the panel consisted of speakers from Russia and Japan will discuss the reality of commercial arbitration in Russia; enforcement of foreign judgments and arbitration awards there; and practical issues inherent in dispute resolution involving the participation of foreign investors and corporations.
